The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Meharg there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Meharg tests Davis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Davis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Meharg defends well and Davis ends up having to push Meharg into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It looked like Meharg was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
