Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Sykes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelly Leak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Xavier Sykes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

27 - 32 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kelly Leak!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leak with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sykes slaps away a takedown attempt from Leak, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sykes thinks about countering with a body kick.
Leak clinches with his opponent.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sykes creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Sykes tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Sykes misses with a body punch.
Sykes misses with some punches.
Leak wants a takedown but no success here.
Leak blocks a body shot from Sykes.
Leak wants the takedown. Sykes is fighting it off but Leak persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sykes's guard against the cage.
Leak postures up in Sykes's guard and throws a big left but Sykes blocks it.
Leak trying to control but Sykes is working from the bottom.
Leak looking to sit in guard and control but Sykes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Sykes wanted to stand there but Leak had control of the position.

Leak is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Sykes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Leak is proving hard to escape from.
Leak looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sykes puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Sykes wants to stand up but Leak is controlling the position.
Sykes is thwarting Leak's attempts to control the position.
Sykes escapes and gets back to his feet.

Sykes moves out of range as Leak throws a body kick.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Leak.
Sykes lands a left hand that snaps the head of Leak backwards.

Sykes misses with a punch to the body.
Leak trying to control the position but instead, Sykes has worked for underhooks and has pushed Leak into the cage.
Leak has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sykes after a bit of a struggle.
Xavier Sykes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kelly Leak.
Leak working aggressively here.
A nice right hand lands inside from Sykes.
Sykes throws a head punch that misses.
Leak works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sykes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sykes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sykes stands up out of the half guard.
Sykes lands a nice looking body shot.
Sykes does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Sykes moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Leak misses the body punch
and Sykes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Leak shoots in for a takedown but Sykes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sykes drops Leak with a beautiful combination! Leak stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sykes is looking for the KO!
Leak is rocked!
It looks like Kelly Leak has been cut.
Sykes has managed to clinch.
Leak is still on wobbly legs! Can Sykes finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Leak has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sykes after a bit of a struggle.
Leak looks winded!
Sykes pushes Leak against the cage. Sykes is working some dirty boxing. Sykes pushes off with a quick right hook! Leak goes down! Leak tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Sykes moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xavier Sykes!
