The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Por Kvartir dodges the punch combination from Simon.
Por Kvartir looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Por Kvartir throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Simon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Por Kvartir throws a head kick that misses
and Simon counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Por Kvartir thinking.
Simon looks to land a combination but Por Kvartir avoids it well.
Simon throws a series of punches but Por Kvartir avoids them all with ease.
Simon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Por Kvartir circles away quickly and effectively.
Simon avoids the head kick by Por Kvartir.
Simon drops down looking for a counter takedown but Por Kvartir sprawls and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Por Kvartir was well out of range. Poor timing from Simon.

and Simon counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Simon.

Simon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Simon has his feet on Por Kvartir's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

As Simon backs off Por Kvartir throws a huge counter combo but Simon manages to avoid it all.

Simon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Por Kvartir did well to prevent Simon getting side control.
