PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Musta Laine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drei Silker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laine comes to the cage accompanied by Disturbed - Sound of Silence. On his way into the cage it seems that Musta Laine has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Musta Laine seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Musta Laine!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drei Silker!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Laine moves forwards but Silker connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Laine lands with a straight right. Silker didn't see that one coming.
Laine looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Laine buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Laine lands a jab to Silker's midsection.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Silker lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Laine has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Laine and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Silker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Musta Laine will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Silker tries to close the distance and clinch but Laine swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That kick from Laine tenderised Silker's leg. Silker is trying to keep his angry face on.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Laine, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Musta Laine spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
