Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Jamison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor has chosen Curtis Stigers & The - John The Revelator as his entrance music. Greg Jamison could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dan Connor's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dan Connor!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor lands with a nice combination. Jamison backs away looking to recover.

Jamison forces Connor back against the cage and clinches.
Jamison tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Connor smiles and moves away.
Connor misses with the combination.
A combination from Jamison does no damage.
Connor throws a series of strikes that have Jamison backpedaling.
Jamison showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Connor.
Jamison shoots in for a double leg but Connor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Connor has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Jamison is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Jamison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Connor sprawls well. Connor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jamison gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Greg Jamison. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Connor lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Connor lands a nice hook to Jamison's body. Jamison takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Connor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jamison looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Connor swats away the attempt to clinch by Jamison.
Dan Connor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Connor scores with a one two! Jamison had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Greg Jamison has been cut.
Connor shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jamison eats them both and turns towards Connor to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Connor misses with a double jab

and Jamison counters by moving into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jamison successfully pulls guard.

Connor stands and steps away. Jamison gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jamison shoots for a double leg takedown but Connor sprawls well. He's pushed Jamison's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jamison is breathing heavily.
Connor fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Connor moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Jamison missing with a left hand there. Connor was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jamison shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Connor but Connor pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Connor lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jamison at a distance.
Connor throws a series of strikes that have Jamison backpedaling.


Greg Jamison's cut is getting worse.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Connor!
Connor lands a jab-cross combination.
Jamison pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice straight punches there by Connor. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Connor.
Connor throws a series of punches but Jamison avoids them all with ease.
Connor is working the combinations to good effect here.
Connor goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sloppy strikes from Connor. Those never looked like landing.
Connor throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
An attempted straight right counter from Jamison misses the target.

Connor throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jamison stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Connor dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jamison fails with an attempt to clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Connor enables Jamison to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Connor manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jamison wants to pass the guard but Connor is keeping the position.
Jamison wants to control from the top but Connor keeps moving.

Connor is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jamison presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Jamison is looking for a takedown.
Jamison tries to pull guard but Connor holds him up against the cage and eventually Jamison drops back down to his feet.
Connor is looking to break free of the clinch but Jamison has double underhooks.
Connor has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Connor wants to break free but Jamison has control.
Jamison prevents Connor from breaking the clinch.
Connor is trying to break the clinch but Jamison has him pressed against the cage.

Jamison pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jamison doesn't manage to clinch there - Connor circles away.
No joy there for Connor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Connor scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jamison doesn't seem bothered though.

Jamison gets a takedown into half guard.
Jamison wants to take a breather but Connor is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Connor dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Greg Jamison's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Jamison drives through and clinches with Connor against the cage.

Jamison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Connor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Connor throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jamison went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Jamison scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Jamison is putting a hurting on Connor here, landing some big shots from side control.
Jamison knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Connor on the ground.

Connor wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jamison has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Connor uses from the top position.

Connor manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Jamison gets control of Connor's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jamison will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Connor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jamison closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Connor to the mat! Connor manages to get full guard.

Connor can't keep his opponent in guard - Jamison advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Connor has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jamison is on him like a limpet, forcing Connor back against the cage.
Connor wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Jamison manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jamison has a closed guard, preventing Connor from standing up.

Connor takes a decent strike to the side of the head.
Jamison wants to stand but Connor is controlling the position.
Jamison is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Connor is fighting to break Jamison's control of his arms but Jamison is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jamison is on top in guard.

Jamison drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jamison jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Greg Jamison will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Jamison moves in looking to clinch but Connor pushes him off.
Connor stuns Jamison with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Connor stalks Jamison and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jamison's face. Jamison staggers backwards, shaken.
Jamison takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Connor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Connor lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dan Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Connor throws a right hand that Jamison ducks under and follows up with a left that Jamison also avoids with ease.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jamison looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jamison shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Connor but Connor pushes him off and we're back to square one.

No joy there for Connor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Greg Jamison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jamison tries to close the distance and clinch but Connor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Connor scores with a sloppy right hand. Jamison should have avoided that one.

Jamison shoots in but Connor avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Connor wants to get back to his feet.
Connor is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Connor takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Connor is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jamison asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Jamison lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Connor tries to escape but Jamison is in control.

Jamison looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Jamison will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Connor is looking to get back to his feet here but Jamison is keeping cool and he's managed to take Connor's back.

Jamison has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Connor! Can he survive? No! He's out! Jamison gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
