Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Panado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keon Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Panado comes to the cage accompanied by Lorde - Team . Keon Williams struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Keon Williams enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ernesto Panado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keon Williams!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams throws a series of strikes that have Panado backpedaling.
Panado with a poor takedown
and Williams counters with a left to the body.

Panado feints and as Williams raises his hands in defense, Panado changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Panado passes into half guard.

Williams looking for submissions off his back.
Williams is looking to improve his position.

Panado is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Williams sees it coming and defends easily.
Panado works his way into side control.
Panado tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Panado wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Williams, who protects the arm well.

Panado tries to advance to mount but can't.
Panado has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Williams!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams is wriggling around trying to escape.

Panado moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Williams has worked his arm free - good work by Williams!
Williams stops Panado from passing to mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Panado wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Williams, who protects the arm well.
Panado advances nicely into full mount.

Panado goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Williams is on top in guard.
Panado is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Williams won't allow Panado to pass to mount.
Panado has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Panado goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Williams turns into him and now he's in Panado's guard.

Williams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Panado keeps working.

Panado moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Ernesto Panado will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A little jabbing left from Williams on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

A decent looking cross lands there for Williams.

Panado shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Panado gets slowly back to his feet.

Ernesto Panado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Keon Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Panado will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
