Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ajax Bushiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ajax Bushiri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samuel Morris!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bushiri scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bushiri passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Morris!
Morris is desperately trying to improve his position but Bushiri has a good base and remains in mount.
Morris sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Morris wants to get back to full guard.
Bushiri is trying to control the action in half guard but Morris is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Bushiri is going to stand back up.
Morris is trying to stand.
Morris gets back to full guard.
Morris wants to stand but Bushiri is controlling the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Morris not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Morris wants to sweep here but Bushiri controlling him for the moment.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bushiri wants to control from the top but Morris keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bushiri goes for a double leg but Morris avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Morris continues to drive forward.
Morris with the counter takedown but Bushiri avoids it easily.
Morris avoids the head kick by Bushiri.
Bushiri dives in and grabs Morris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Morris pushes down on Bushiri's head and hops out.

Morris gets a clinch.
Morris's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Bushiri looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Bushiri lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Morris is looking for a sweep. Bushiri is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bushiri lands strikes from half guard.
Morris is trying to control but can't.
Morris moves into full guard.
Bushiri throwing strikes but missing.
Morris looking for a sweep. Not yet Morris, not yet.

Bushiri advances position into side control!
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Morris gets back to half guard.
Bushiri trying to control the action but Morris is working from the bottom.
Morris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bushiri is working away from the top position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bushiri thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Morris's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ajax Bushiri will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Bushiri shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Morris is not content to let Bushiri control the position.
Morris is looking to control Bushiri's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Morris avoid being mounted?

Morris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bushiri is working away from the top position though.

Bushiri decides to return to a standing position.
Morris throws a sloppy head kick and Bushiri moves out of range easily.
Bushiri ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Morris moves away.
Morris thows a left - swing and a miss!
Bushiri stuffs the takedown attempt from Morris. Morris gets slowly back to his feet.
Morris closes the distance looking to clinch
and Bushiri counters with a series of strikes. Morris will be more careful next time no doubt.

Morris tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bushiri decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bushiri drops an elbow to the side of Morris's head.
Bushiri is trying to control. Morris wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Bushiri prevents Morris from improving his position.
Morris has hold of Bushiri's hands but Bushiri slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bushiri not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bushiri tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bushiri throws a wild body kick that Morris sees coming a mile off.
Bushiri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Morris is fending him off so far but Bushiri persists. Nope, Morris circles away and we're back to standing.
Morris will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Morris shoots in for a takedown but Bushiri shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bushiri looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Ajax Bushiri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Morris.

A quick step to the side and Bushiri tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Morris shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bushiri pinned against the cage. Bushiri gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bushiri tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Morris manages to circle out of the way.
Morris avoids the body shot from Bushiri.
Morris fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bushiri avoids it really well and circles away.
Bushiri could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Morris looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Morris scores with a head kick.

Morris shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ajax Bushiri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Morris.

Bushiri rushes Morris and presses him up against the cage.
Morris lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Bushiri pulls guard successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bushiri looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Morris got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bushiri has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Morris has managed to get both his arms back between Bushiri's legs - danger averted.
Morris would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Morris stops Bushiri from standing up.
Morris trying to control but Bushiri is working from the bottom.
Morris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Morris is looking to stand up but Bushiri won't let him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Morris clinches up with Bushiri and pushes him back against the cage.
Morris fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Morris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Morris wants to take the fight to the mat but Bushiri manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Morris tries to pull guard but Bushiri holds him up against the cage and eventually Morris drops back down to his feet.
Bushiri is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Bushiri is trying to pull guard but Morris has him pressed against the cage.

Morris has Bushiri pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Morris pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bushiri tumbling to the mat - Morris dives into Bushiri's guard.
Bushiri is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Morris can do to turn this around?
Morris wants to control from the top but Bushiri keeps moving.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bushiri is on top in guard.

Morris pulls Bushiri in to control the position.
Bushiri passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Morris looking for a sweep but Bushiri has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Morris is looking to improve his position but Bushiri isn't that keen on the idea.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Samuel Morris has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ajax Bushiri is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Morris throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

Ajax Bushiri showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bushiri, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
