Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, BJ Chavez!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wink works the jab nicely.
Chavez closes the distance and clinches up with Wink, looking for a takedown. Chavez pushes Wink against the cage but Wink circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chavez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Chavez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wink fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Chavez wants to clinch up but Wink keeps it at a distance.
Wink works the jab nicely.

Wink doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Wink content to slow the pace in the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wink creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Wink struggles to land a body shot inside as Chavez controls his hands.
Chavez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wink uses from the top position.

Chavez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Chavez is trying to control the action in half guard but Wink is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chavez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wink does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Chavez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Wink ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wink tests Chavez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Wink slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Wink scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Chavez misses with a takedown attempt - Wink sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jason Wink has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of BJ Chavez.

Wink avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wink swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Chavez moves to clinch but Wink breaks away
and Wink counters with a nice uppercut.
Wink paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Nice straight punches there by Wink. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Wink.
Chavez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Wink counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nice shot lands for Wink.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wink lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Chavez is still on wobbly legs! Can Wink finish him?
Chavez tries for a takedown but Wink circles away easily
and Wink scores with a counter punch that sends Chavez to the canvas! Wink smells blood - he's punishing Chavez with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Chavez has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
