The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luiz wants to clinch up but Cuida keeps it at a distance.

I was talking to Luiz's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Cuida's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd are getting on Cuida's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gray Cuida.
Luiz misses with a hook. Cuida ducked under it nicely.

Cuida connects with a leg kick. Luiz looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cuida takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A big right followed by a crushing left from Cuida knocks Luiz out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Gray Cuida decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
