Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Christopher Levine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brusko Ramero Genimer!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levine goes for a double leg but Genimer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Genimer continues to drive forward.
Genimer is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Genimer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Genimer instigates a clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Levine is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Genimer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Levine defends well.
Genimer has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Levine has passed into side control.
You can see the frustration on Genimer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Genimer tries to control but Levine manages to take his back.

Genimer keeps trying to improve his position.

Genimer is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Levine off. It looks like it's working - Levine slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Genimer displaying calm under pressure there.
Levine really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Genimer gets the takedown into side control.
Genimer wants to control but Levine is keeping him busy.
Genimer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Genimer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Genimer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Levine is trying to control Genimer's posture but Genimer avoids it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Genimer creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Levine sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Genimer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Levine wants to control but Genimer is keeping busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Levine tries to clinch but Genimer moves out of range.

Genimer shoots in and bounces Levine off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Levine has his foot on Genimer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Genimer works his way back into a safe position though.

Genimer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Levine's guard.

Genimer drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Levine manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Genimer has Levine in his guard.

Genimer is breathing heavily.
Levine wants to stand and escape but instead Genimer has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Genimer throws an elbow that misses. Levine uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Genimer's guard. Nice move by Levine!


Levine decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Genimer, up you get!

Brusko Ramero Genimer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Genimer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Levine is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Genimer goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Levine rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Genimer's guard! Nice work there by Levine!

I would just about give that final round to Brusko Ramero Genimer.
Well Genimer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
