Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Glass Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandayu Momochi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Glass Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sandayu Momochi !
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Joe 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Joe takes one to the side of the head.
Momochi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Joe sprawls well. Joe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Momochi gets slowly back to his feet.
Joe changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Momochi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Momochi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Joe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Joe wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Sandayu Momochi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Momochi misses with an uppercut. Joe saw that one coming.
A quick step to the side and Joe tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Joe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Momochi lands a jab to the nose.
Momochi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Joe throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Joe is looking to work some ground and pound but Momochi has wrist control.
Momochi looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Joe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Joe drops back looking for a leg! Momochi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Momochi manages to kick Joe off! Joe jumps back into Momochi 's guard.
Momochi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Joe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Joe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Momochi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Joe has managed to get both his arms back between Momochi 's legs - danger averted.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Joe lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Momochi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Joe throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Momochi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Joe tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Momochi has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Momochi misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Joe is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joe defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Momochi .
Joe tries to hold on but Momochi pushes him away.
Momochi sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Momochi looking to control and managing it successfully.
Joe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Joe is working to get back to half guard.
Momochi is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Joe has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Joe!
Joe stands up over Momochi , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Joe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Momochi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Joe has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Momochi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Joe is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Momochi pulls down on the head and he's put Joe to sleep! This one is all over!
