The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scorpion closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Scorpion lands a nice shot to the body.
Denke can't find room to land a body shot as Scorpion controls the action.
Scorpion works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Scorpion pushes Denke back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Denke throws an elbow but misses.

Denke manages to break the clinch.
Scorpion has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Denke lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Scorpion lands a shot to the body.
Denke lands a hook to the side of the head.

Denke has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Scorpion is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Denke throws an overhand right that lands on Scorpion's shoulder, as Scorpion tries to avoid the shot.

and Denke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Denke throws a hook but Scorpion avoids it easily.
Scorpion rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Denke connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Scorpion scores with a hook.
Scorpion keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Denke.
The fighters circling - Denke throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Scorpion lands with a right hand.
Denke falls off balance throwing a combination
and Scorpion counters with a straight right hand.

Scorpion lands a left and a right that send Denke crashing to the mat, dazed. Scorpion thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Denke is rocked!


It looks like Karl Denke has been cut.
Scorpion throws a monster overhand right that drops Denke! Scorpion follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kasey Scorpion!
After winning the bout, Kasey Scorpion thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
