Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lenny Casino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Otumba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lenny Casino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stephen Otumba!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casino fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Otumba. No joy for Casino on that attempt.
Otumba tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Casino fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Otumba avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Casino manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Otumba keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Casino's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Otumba stuffs the takedown.
Otumba feints the counter takedown.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Casino shoots in looking for a takedown. Otumba tries to sprawl out of it but Casino keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Otumba manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Casino doesn't manage to clinch there - Otumba circles away.
Otumba with the counter takedown but Casino avoids it easily.
Otumba has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Horrible takedown attempt by Casino or perhaps it was just good defense by Otumba, which made it look bad.
Casino wants to clinch.
Lenny Casino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Otumba tries to sprawl but Casino drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Casino wants to get back to his feet.
Casino stalling.
Otumba keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Casino wants to stand up but Otumba is controlling the position.
Otumba is looking to control Casino's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Otumba avoid being mounted?

Otumba makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Otumba.

Otumba utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Casino goes for a double leg but Otumba avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Otumba continues to drive forward.
Otumba is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Casino scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Stephen Otumba has been cut.
Casino connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Casino closes the distance and lands a one-two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Casino tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Otumba takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Otumba is pressing down on Casino's thigh, looking to free his foot. Casino is holding on for now.
Casino tries to get to full guard but Otumba has control of the leg.

Otumba lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Otumba stalling away here and it's allowed Casino to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Otumba postures up in Casino's guard and throws a big left but Casino blocks it.
Casino is pulling down on Otumba's head. It's preventing any offense from Otumba, at least for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Casino rushes Otumba and presses him up against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Otumba takes an elbow to the temple.

Casino breaks the clinch.

Casino moves into range and clinches up with Otumba.
Casino drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Otumba gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Casino pushes Otumba off and scrambles back to his feet.

Otumba lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Otumba showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Otumba must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Otumba wants to control from the top but Casino keeps moving.
Otumba is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Casino manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Otumba manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well Casino has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
