Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thor Odenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winnie Pooh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thor Odenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Winnie Pooh!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odenson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Pooh is out of range.
Odenson throws a shot to the body.
Odenson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Odenson moves away from the strike by Pooh.
Pooh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Odenson throws a one two combo.

Pooh feints and as Odenson raises his hands in defense, Pooh changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Odenson wants to get back to his feet but Pooh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Odenson can't keep his opponent in guard - Pooh advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Pooh is looking to advance position but Odenson won't allow it.

Odenson kicks Pooh off and gets back to his feet.
Odenson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pooh closes this distance looking for a takedown but Odenson circles away.
A little feinted left hand from Odenson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Odenson throws a nice head kick!
Odenson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A head kick misses from Odenson.
Pooh is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Pooh drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Odenson has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Pooh is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pooh is trying to pull guard but Odenson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Pooh drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Thor Odenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Winnie Pooh.
Pooh has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Odenson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Pooh tries to pull guard but Odenson holds him up against the cage and eventually Pooh drops back down to his feet.

Odenson tries to land a knee to the head but Pooh blocks with his arms.
A left hand lands to the body for Odenson.

Odenson breaks the clinch.
Pooh with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Odenson to score with a decent uppercut.
Odenson scores with a jab. Pooh acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Pooh tries to close the distance and clinch but Odenson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A quick step to the side and Odenson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thor Odenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Odenson throws a hook but Pooh blocks it.
Pooh tries to counter with a clinch but Odenson shakes him off and moves away.
That kick from Odenson tenderised Pooh's leg. Pooh is trying to keep his angry face on.
Odenson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pooh.
Pooh tries to counter by closing the distance.
Pooh misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Pooh blocks the body kick.
Odenson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Odenson darts in and clinches Pooh up against the cage.
Pooh takes an elbow to the forehead.
Pooh tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Pooh manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Pooh is trying to control the position but Odenson postures up.

Pooh is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Odenson is aware though and is defending well.

Pooh looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Odenson passes into half guard.

Odenson slips a nice elbow through Pooh's hands, connecting with Pooh's forehead.

Pooh is trying to control but can't.
Odenson drops an elbow to the side of Pooh's head.
Odenson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pooh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Odenson is working away from the top position though.

Pooh wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thor Odenson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Pooh closes the distance and clinches up with Odenson, looking for a takedown. Pooh pushes Odenson against the cage but Odenson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Pooh is looking to clinch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Odenson, as that shot connected.

Pooh tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Odenson smiles and moves away.

Odenson gets caught napping as Pooh dives in and scores a takedown. Odenson manages to retain guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Odenson digs a right hand into Pooh's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pooh's gas tank.

Odenson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Pooh tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Odenson smiles and moves away.
Pooh takes one to the chin there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pooh shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Odenson as he jumps to the side.
Pooh takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Pooh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Odenson manages to avoid it.
Odenson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pooh has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Odenson lands a jab to the nose.
Odenson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Odenson wants it to stay on the feet.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Pooh tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Odenson just stands there and leans against the cage.

Odenson connects with a nasty looking knee right to Pooh's face.

Pooh jumps guard and drags Odenson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Odenson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Thor Odenson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pooh had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Odenson defends it easily.

Odenson cracks Pooh with a big right hand but Pooh just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Pooh shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Odenson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pooh's head.

Pooh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Odenson.

Pooh shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Odenson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Odenson lands a nice elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Odenson drops Pooh with a big knee straight up the middle! Pooh is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Pooh is rocked!
Pooh tries to get into range but Odenson steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Pooh! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Odenson scores the big KO victory!
