The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scannagatta tries to close the distance and clinch but Holman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Holman tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Scannagatta manages to circle out of the way.
Scannagatta gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Holman to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scannagatta looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Holman passes into side control.
Scannagatta is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holman decides to stand back up.
Scannagatta looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Holman kicks Scannagatta off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Holman counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Holman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Holman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Holman swats away the attempt to clinch by Scannagatta.
Scannagatta has his takedown stuffed
and Holman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Scannagatta tries for a takedown but Holman manages to get underhooks.
Holman pulls guard successfully.
Holman looking for a triangle here. Scannagatta is fighting it but it looks tight! Holman pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Scannagatta is tapping out - this one is all over!
