Patterson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Llama In My Living Room. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Yuudai.
Yuudai takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Patterson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Patterson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nice jab there from Yuudai.
Patterson throws a hook to the side of Yuudai's head but Yuudai sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Yuudai swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Yuudai throws a combination. Patterson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Patterson jabs Yuudai to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Patterson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Patterson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A thudding body kick lands there by Patterson!
Patterson motions for Yuudai to come forward. Patterson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Yuudai shoots in but no luck this time.
Patterson misses with a kick to the body.
A little jabbing left from Yuudai on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A head kick misses from Patterson.
Yuudai ducks right into an uppercut from Patterson.
Yuudai blocks the body kick.

Patterson missing with a left hand there. Yuudai was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Patterson.
Yuudai keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Patterson.
Yuudai lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Yuudai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Patterson.
Patterson misses with an uppercut. Yuudai saw that one coming.
Patterson just misses with a punch to the body.
Yuudai takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Yuudai closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Patterson to the mat! Patterson manages to get full guard.

Yuudai drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Patterson dives on top into guard.

Yuudai is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Yuudai throws his legs up looking for a submission but Patterson uses it to pass to side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yuudai tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Yuudai is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Patterson is staying tight to Yuudai's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Yuudai tries to buck Patterson off but Patterson is having none of it.

Yuudai is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Patterson off and has taken his back!

Yuudai patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Patterson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Patterson won't enjoy being in this position. Yuudai looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Patterson is tapping - it's over boys! Yuudai picks up the submission victory!
