The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry connects with the punch.

It seemed like Holmes was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Perry cracks Holmes with a good jab.
Perry ducks right into an uppercut from Holmes.
Perry scores with a crisp jab that stopped Holmes in his tracks.

Perry swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Perry misses with a looping right.
Holmes cracks Perry with an open hand slap.
Holmes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

A jab from Perry finds it's way through Holmes's defenses.

Holmes swings for the body but Perry moves out of range.

Perry lands a nice shot to the body.

Holmes drops his shoulder and cracks Perry with a huge uppercut! Perry goes down! Can Holmes finish him?

Holmes is pushing down on Perry's leg trying to pass to half guard. Perry is fighting to maintain full guard but Holmes has managed to sneak the leg through.
Oh Perry is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Holmes seems to be looking for submissions.

Holmes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Perry defends it well.

Perry is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Holmes has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holmes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Perry is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Perry pushes Holmes away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Holmes gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Holmes is working to tighten his grip on Perry's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Perry has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Holmes is really squeezing tight and eventually Perry passes out! Holmes breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
