Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chadwick Clements (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chadwick Clements!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Stephens!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clements throws a head kick but Stephens moves out of range.
Stephens is looking to score with low kicks.
Clements seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Stephens closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Clements did well to prevent Stephens getting side control.
Clements pushes Stephens off looking to stand but Stephens dives back in and keeps control.
Stephens content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Stephens's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Stephens might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Clements desperately trying to maintain half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Still in half guard, Stephens seems content to control.

Stephens stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Clements to get to his feet.
Stephens misses with a low kick.
Clements uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stephens.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Clements is defended easily by Stephens.

Stephens bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stephens taking a breather here.
Clements is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Clements struggling a bit here.

Stephens tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stephens has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here.
Clements is working to avoid the ground and pound but Stephens connects with a decent elbow.
Clements is not content to let Stephens control the position.

Stephens goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Clements has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Stephens but great work by Clements.
What's Stephens going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stephens tries to bench press Clements off him but Clements keeps the position.
Stephens wants to get back to his feet.
Stephens trying his best to control but Clements has mounted him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stephens tries to hold on but Clements pushes him away.
Stephens gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Stephens dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Clements will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stephens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Stephens shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Clements is trying to defend but Stephens finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Stephens with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Stephens wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clements keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stephens slows the pace down in half guard.

Clements is looking to get back to is feet but Stephens passes into side control.

Stephens in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Clements is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
