The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acosta checks a leg kick.
Hayesford fails to land the takedown.
Acosta has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hayesford.

Hayesford fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Acosta sprawls well initially but Hayesford persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hayesford is working for an americana but Acosta has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Hayesford was thinking about the submission.
Hayesford chips away with some ground and pound.

Acosta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hayesford doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hayesford manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Acosta is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hayesford has his hands clasped together but Acosta extends and breaks Hayesford's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Acosta.
