Basurto comes to the cage accompanied by Tapout - Birdman. Akheem Flynn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Akheem Flynn!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flynn shoots in and bounces Basurto off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Flynn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Basurto throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Flynn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Basurto is keeping the position for now.

Basurto working for a triangle but Flynn defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Basurto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Flynn is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Basurto keeping full guard, as Flynn tries to pass.

Basurto isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Flynn stacks Basurto on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Flynn!

Flynn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Basurto has escaped the position, nice work there.

Flynn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Basurto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Basurto manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Basurto trying to hold on to Flynn's head to control him but Flynn postures up.
Basurto works his way to full guard. Good work.

Basurto wants to sweep here but Flynn controlling him for the moment.

Flynn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Basurto lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Basurto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Flynn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Basurto has managed to get both his arms back between Flynn's legs - danger averted.

Basurto is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Flynn has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Basurto is looking to defend but Flynn has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Basurto! Flynn pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Basurto taps out and this one is all over!
