Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Mick Monte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Naharis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mick Monte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yuri Naharis!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monte scores with a hook to the body. Naharis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Monte definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Monte lands a leg kick that knocks Naharis off balance momentarily.
Naharis drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A slapping leg kick lands for Monte.
Monte swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Monte really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Monte throws a low kick but Naharis avoids it.
Naharis throws a leg kick but Monte moved away.

As Naharis looks to move away, Monte throws a big counter combo but Naharis just gets out of the way.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Naharis.
Naharis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Monte throws a shot from downtown. Naharis moves away and avoids it.
Naharis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Monte pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Naharis drops his hands momentarily and Monte takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Naharis lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Monte has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Monte and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Naharis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Monte.
Naharis walks into a jab.
Monte bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Naharis's head backwards.
Naharis is looking to score with low kicks.
Monte throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Mick Monte is winning the standup battle so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Naharis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Crunch! Naharis slams his shin into Monte's torso.
A slapping body kick lands there for Naharis.
Monte shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Monte walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Naharis checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Naharis is looking to slow Monte down with leg kicks.
Naharis takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mick Monte will probably get the nod.

The fighters circling - Naharis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Monte throws a hook to the side of Naharis's head but Naharis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Naharis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Monte fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Naharis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Oh Monte is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Monte misses with a looping left.
Monte misses with a straight right.
Monte thuds his right hand into Naharis's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Monte connects with the punch.
Monte walks into a perfectly timed head kick by Naharis and drops face first to the floor! Monte's eyes are wide open but he's not all there - he's just flopping around the mat like a drunk on rollerskates! The referee doesn't even start the count - he's called an end to the fight, with Monte in no position to continue!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Yuri Naharis!
In his post fight interview, Yuri Naharis started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
