Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnie Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dog Wild Heaven. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Simmons manages to avoid it.
Despite the aggression on Simmons's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Cash clinches.
Cash's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Simmons wants to get back to striking at distance but Cash won't allow it.
Simmons is trying to drag Cash to the mat but Cash just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A right handed body shot lands from Cash.
Simmons prevents a body shot from Cash.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cash digs a right hand underneath Simmons's ribcage. Simmons let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Simmons blocks a body shot from Cash.
Simmons's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Cash tries a body shot but Simmons blocks it.
Simmons has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cash after a bit of a struggle.

Simmons has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cash avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Johnie Cash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Simmons.
Simmons drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cash gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cash lands a shoulder strike.
Cash on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Cash is pressed up against the cage. Simmons has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cash down to the mat. Cash avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Simmons avoids a punch combination nicely.
Simmons changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Cash throws a lazy right hand but Simmons sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Simmons rushes Cash and presses him up against the cage.
Cash lands a nice shot to the body.

Cash throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Simmonss head.
Cash lands a body punch.
Cash lands a body punch in the clinch.
Cash lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Cash tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Cash lands a nice uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cash can't find room to land a body shot as Simmons controls the action.

Simmons tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cash smiles and moves away.

Simmons shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Simmons seems to be working for a kimura but Cash defends the submission attempt.

Cash is trying to stand up here but Simmons is controlling him well.

Simmons has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cash defend it? Simmons steps over the head and cranks it - Cash is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Simmons!
