Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jody Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Henrique Rizzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizzi has Alvarez up against the cage in a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Rizzi.

Alvarez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Rizzi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Alvarez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rizzi is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Alvarez can't fight it off and eventually Rizzi manages to take the fight to the floor. Alvarez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rizzi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alvarez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rizzi has managed to get both his arms back between Alvarez's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
