PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Balla Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Sixx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sixx has chosen Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Balla Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Sixx !
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sixx to the mat! Sixx manages to get full guard.
Sixx preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Boy chips away with some ground and pound.
Boy trying to control but Sixx is working from the bottom.
Boy lands a couple of elbows.
Boy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sixx throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Boy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Boy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boy with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sixx really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sixx has his feet on Boy's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Sixx closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sixx seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boy wants to get back to full guard.
Boy is trying to control but can't.

Sixx not doing much here.
Boy keeping hold of Sixx 's head, controlling as best he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Boy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sixx looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sixx bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Sixx misses with a takedown attempt - Boy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sixx fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boy avoids it really well and circles away.

Boy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sixx napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Boy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sixx keeps working.

Boy is trying to get an arm triangle but Sixx is defending well.
Boy looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Sixx is avoiding damage well.

Boy wants to stand but Sixx has his arm trapped.
Boy trying to control the position but Sixx is working away.
The ground and pound from Boy seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Sixx is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Boy throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Sixx is holding Boy down, trying to stall.

Boy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Boy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Balla Boy will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sixx is defended easily by Boy.

Boy shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Boy wants to stand up but Sixx has a hold of him and won't allow it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sixx keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Boy seems to be working for a kimura but Sixx defends the submission attempt.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sixx can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sixx controlling the position for now.
Sixx keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Boy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sixx 's head.
Boy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sixx keeps working.
Sixx is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Boy looking for a submission but Sixx manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Sixx striking off his back, scoring a few points.
Boy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Boy throwing strikes from guard but Sixx blocks nicely.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Boy postures up and lands a big shot to Sixx 's brow.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Sixx is trying to maintain the position but Boy is very close to passing his half guard.
Boy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Boy is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Boy throws a strike but Sixx rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Boy looking to control but Sixx passes into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Boy is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Balla Boy dominated that second round.
That's time! Boy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Boy throws a jab but it's blocked by Sixx .

Sixx gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sixx pushes Boy off and scrambles back to his feet.
Sixx closes this distance looking for a takedown but Boy circles away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Boy.

Sixx throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Sixx is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sixx is still on wobbly legs! Can Boy finish him?
Boy throws an overhand right that has Sixx reeling! Boy follows up with more punches and Sixx is out cold! This one is all over!
