Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bang Pitung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samak Tiyapairat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pitung's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sleeper - Atomic. Tiyapairat has chosen Ram Muay as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitung ducks under a wild hook from Tiyapairat.
Tiyapairat moves in looking to clinch but Pitung pushes him off.

It looks like Samak Tiyapairat has been cut.

I was talking to Pitung's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Samak Tiyapairat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pitung will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pitung lands a brutal uppercut that launches Tiyapairat off his feet! Tiyapairat tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
