Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Bozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamey Jasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Bozzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamey Jasta!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bozzi gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Bozzi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Jasta throws out a counter right but Bozzi avoids it with no problem.

and Jasta counters with a big head kick but Bozzi shrugs it off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bozzi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Jasta misses with a lunging right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Bozzi avoids the head kick by Jasta.

Jasta takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Bozzi dives in for a single leg takedown but Jasta sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Bozzi throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Jasta counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Jasta throws out a counter right but Bozzi avoids it with no problem.

enabling Bozzi to counter with a crisp jab.

and Jasta counters with a stiff right hand.
Bozzi throws a shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bozzi. Jasta does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jasta appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bozzi lands with a hook. Jasta tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jasta throws a shot from downtown. Bozzi moves away and avoids it.
Jasta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bozzi.

Jasta might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bozzi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jasta was well out of range. Poor timing from Bozzi.
Jasta looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Jason Bozzi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bozzi takes a swing at Jasta's ribcage but misses.

Bozzi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bozzi misses the shot to the body.
Bozzi throws a body shot but no joy.
Bozzi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jasta can do to turn this around?
Bozzi takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Jasta lands a left and a right that send Bozzi crashing to the mat, dazed. Jasta thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Bozzi is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bozzi swings away with a body shot that misses
and Jasta rattles Bozzi with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Bozzi tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Jasta dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Bozzi stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jamey Jasta!
Our winner, Jamey Jasta, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
