The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wick's guard.
Wick might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wick is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Williams sitting in guard, not really doing much.
It looks like Williams might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Williams's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Wick is looking to sweep but instead, Williams has passed into half guard.
Wick is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams is taking a breather. Wick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Wick is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Williams lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Wick wants to get back to full guard but Williams has passed into side control.

Wick tries to buck Williams off but Williams is having none of it.
Wick is breathing heavily.

Williams is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Wick's shoulder. That is not cool.
Williams cracks Wick with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Williams immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Wick is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Williams!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ash Williams!
