Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Mcclain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Hansel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Elvis Mcclain has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Elvis Mcclain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Hansel!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcclain jabs Hansel right on the nose. Hansel blinks but takes it well.

Hansel tries to keep at a distance but Mcclain has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hansel has Mcclain pushed against the cage.

Mcclain ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mcclain no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Hansel advances position into side control!
Mcclain might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mcclain is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hansel is controlling him well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hansel is chipping away with strikes.
The referee asks Hansel politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hansel prefers to stall for the moment though.
Hansel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hansel tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Hansel lands an elbow.
Hansel tries to move to mount but Mcclain blocks the move with his legs.

Hansel decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Hansel gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hansel misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Mcclain really is a fat lump.

Hansel pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hansel is on top in guard.


Hansel decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hansel with a poor takedown
and Mcclain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hansel doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mcclain counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hansel needs to keep his hands up - Mcclain had a free shot at his head there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hansel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Mcclain counter with a right hand.
Elvis Mcclain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Hansel.

Hansel shoots and misses
and Mcclain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hansel shoots in for a double leg but Mcclain sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mcclain appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Hansel looks winded!
Hansel shoots in looking for a takedown. Mcclain tries to sprawl out of it but Hansel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mcclain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mcclain lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Nice sprawl there from Mcclain as Hansel shoots in.

Hansel gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Mcclain cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hansel misses with a takedown
and Mcclain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mcclain paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A combination from Mcclain does no damage.
Hansel moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Mcclain forces Hansel back against the cage and clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mcclain jumps guard but Hansel stands there with Mcclain around his waist. Mcclain gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hansel jumps guard and drags Mcclain to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hansel wants to sweep here but Mcclain controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Mcclain's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Mcclain connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hansel. Hansel circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mcclain displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hansel.

Hansel misses with a punch to the body.

Mcclain decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Hansel is breathing heavily.

Hansel gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Mcclain jumps guard but Hansel stands there with Mcclain around his waist. Mcclain gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Hansel's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Hansel works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Hansel wants to control from the top but Mcclain keeps moving.
Mcclain lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mcclain tries to stand but Hansel is controlling from the bottom.
Hansel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcclain's guard.

Hansel throws a big right hand that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hansel won't allow Mcclain to sweep him here.
Mcclain is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mcclain wants to stand up but Hansel has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Hansel trying to get back to full guard but Mcclain takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Mcclain controlling from the full mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hansel is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hansel shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mcclain napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Mcclain sneaks out the side door and pushes Hansel away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Mcclain lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hansel will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Elvis Mcclain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Hansel.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hansel.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hansel.
It looked like Mcclain was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Mcclain stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hansel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mcclain darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Hansel clinches.
Mcclain tries to pull guard but Hansel forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Mcclain fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mcclain jumps guard but Hansel stands there with Mcclain around his waist. Mcclain gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mcclain is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hansel can do to turn this around?

Mcclain is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hansel won't allow Mcclain to get back to his feet.
Hansel looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Mcclain pulls Hansel in close to prevent any damage.

Hansel looking to pass the guard.
Hansel working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Mcclain will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hansel rushes Mcclain and presses him up against the cage.

Hansel is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Hansel throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mcclain escapes and throws Hansel's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Hansel tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Mcclain stands up and beckons Hansel to his feet.
Ryan Hansel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Elvis Mcclain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mcclain has taken the fight to the clinch.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mcclain, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
