Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucien Bender (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lucien Bender!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bender's guard.

Lesnar gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Lesnar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lesnar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bender working a defensive guard but Lesnar passes into half guard.
Lesnar wants to stand up but Bender has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Lesnar trying to control the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lesnar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bender's head.
Bender is trying to control but can't.
Lesnar throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Bender to regain full guard.
Lesnar wants to control from the top but Bender keeps moving.
Lesnar trying to move into half guard but instead Bender has managed to sweep!

Bender drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lesnar looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lesnar looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lesnar!


Lesnar goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bender rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Lesnar's guard! Nice work there by Bender!
Lesnar is pulling down on Bender's head to control his posture.

Bender decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lesnar, up you get!

Lesnar darts in and clinches Bender up against the cage.
Bender stalling against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lesnar lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lesnar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Lesnar stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Bender to get to his feet.

Lesnar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bender is trying to defend but Lesnar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lesnar connects with a nice short shot to Bender's temple.
Lesnar lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bender manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Lesnar looking to sit in guard and control but Bender gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bender wants to get up but he can't break Lesnar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Bender is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lesnar is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lesnar has escaped and now he's on top!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bender is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Lesnar dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Lesnar gets a double leg takedown into Bender's guard.

Bender scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Lesnar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lesnar throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bender is looking for a counter combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bender.
Lesnar is looking to chop away at Bender's legs.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lesnar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bender!
Bender tries to bench press Lesnar off him but Lesnar keeps the position.
Lesnar is working Bender over with some ground and pound from side control.

Lesnar goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bender has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lesnar but great work by Bender.
Lesnar is trying to improve his position.
Bender has control of an arm but Lesnar manages to advance to Bender's back!
This has been an exciting period of action!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Lesnar doesn't have the hooks in and Bender manages to turn into his guard.
Lesnar is breathing heavily.
Bender trying to control but Lesnar is working from the bottom.
Lesnar looking for a sweep. Not yet Lesnar, not yet.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Lesnar. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Lesnar throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Bender could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bender got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lesnar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bender has managed to get both his arms back between Lesnar's legs - danger averted.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bender accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bender stands up and waves to Lesnar to follow him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bender wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Lesnar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bender leaning his opponent against the cage.

Bender breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lesnar's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Lesnar duly obliges.


It looks like Lucien Bender has been cut.

Lesnar gets a clinch.
Bender stalling against the cage.
Lesnar is trying to break free.

Lesnar successfully pulls guard.

Lesnar isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bender stacks Lesnar on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bender!
Bender trying to control the position but Lesnar is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Brock Lesnar will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The cut man is working on Lucien Bender's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Lesnar gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Bender controlling the action here for a moment.

Lesnar with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Bender can't handle though.
Lesnar looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Bender scoring with punches to the head and body.

Bender stands up from guard. Let's bang!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lesnar throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Bender counters with a series of strikes. Lesnar will be more careful next time no doubt.
Lesnar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bender is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Lesnar.
Lesnar tries a head kick but it misses.
Lesnar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lesnar throws a head kick that misses.
Bender closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lesnar circles away.
Lesnar slaps away a takedown attempt from Bender, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Lesnar scores with a takedown into Bender's guard.

Bender has his feet on Lesnar's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Lesnar misses with a wild body shot.
Lesnar misses with a head kick.
Bender appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Bender closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lesnar quickly recovers to half guard.
Lesnar is looking to get back to is feet but Bender passes into side control.

Bender decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Bender tries for a takedown but Lesnar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lesnar is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucien Bender. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bender gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lesnar to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bender is looking for a triangle but Lesnar pushes his legs off easily.
Lesnar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bender works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lesnar is looking to pass into half guard but Bender pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bender is in guard.

Lesnar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Lucien Bender showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lesnar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
