The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black connects with a crisp jab.

That has opened up Spike Gibson 's cut even more.
Gibson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Black throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gibson tries to counter with a clinch but Black shakes him off and moves away.
Black tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gibson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Black throws a sloppy head kick and Gibson moves out of range easily.
Despite the aggression on Gibson 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Gibson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Black looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Black scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Black throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gibson throws a counter combo.
Nice uppercut there from Black.

The cut above Spike Gibson 's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Gibson blocks a head kick by Black.
Gibson feints the counter takedown.
Black throws a head kick but Gibson moves out of range.

Woodrow Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Spike Gibson 's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Woodrow Black really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Rising Sun Supplements logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
