Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ward Rand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopez comes into the arena with Heavydirtysoul blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Lopez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ward Rand!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rand tries to clinch there but Lopez circles away.
Lopez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rand circles away.
Rand should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lopez closes the distance and pushes Rand back into the cage.
Rand tries to pull guard but Lopez forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lopez gets underhooks to prevent Rand's takedown attempt.
Rand is looking to control Lopez's arms but Lopez gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rand has his back to the cage.
Rand breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rand lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lopez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lopez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Lopez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lopez slips a jab from Rand.
Lopez misses with a series of wild punches.
Rand shoots for a double leg takedown but Lopez sprawls well. He's pushed Rand's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jonathan Lopez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ward Rand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lopez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lopez.
Rand tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Horrible takedown attempt by Rand or perhaps it was just good defense by Lopez, which made it look bad.
Lopez misses with a wild combination.
Lopez throws a nice looking combination but Rand bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rand just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Rand. No joy for Lopez on that attempt.
Lopez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rand circles away.
Rand shoots in looking for a takedown but Lopez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rand's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lopez looks to land a combination but Rand avoids it well.
Lopez blocks a head kick by Rand.
Some wild striking there from Lopez.
Lopez throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rand pushes Lopez up against the cage in a clinch.
Rand is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lopez is keeping busy.
Lopez jumps guard and drags Rand to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Rand seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Lopez keeping full guard, as Rand tries to pass.

Lopez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lopez pushes Rand off and gets back to his feet.
Rand is looking to clinch but Lopez is avoiding it.
Left hook, right uppercut from Lopez.
Rand tries to clinch but Lopez moves out of range.
Rand looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rand tries a head kick but it misses.
Lopez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rand sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lopez somewhat.
Rand has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Lopez closes the distance and clinches.
Rand goes for a takedown attempt but Lopez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lopez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rand is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Lopez with a body shot.
Lopez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rand sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rand is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonathan Lopez dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rand misses with a head kick.
Rand misses with a takedown attempt - Lopez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rand pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rand lands a head kick. Lopez smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Oooooh!!! Lopez has knocked Rand down with a huge combo! Lopez steps away and waves a wobbly Rand back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Rand is rocked!
Rand shoots in but Lopez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rand is still on wobbly legs! Can Lopez finish him?
Ward Rand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rand blocks a head kick by Lopez.
Rand seems to have recovered his senses.
Lopez cracks Rand's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Rand slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Lopez can do further damage! This one is done, son!
