The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Almasy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Almasy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Almasy clinches up with Barnard and pushes him back against the ropes.

Barnard wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Almasy has him pressed against the ropes.
A frustrated look appears on Barnard's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Almasy lands a body shot in the clinch.

Almasy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Almasy lands a glancing blow to the side of Barnard's head.

Barnard moves out of range of the strikes.
Barnard lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Barnard takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Almasy looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Almasy.
Barnard takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Barnard misses with a double jab
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Barnard looks winded!

Barnard keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Almasy.
As Almasy backs off Barnard throws a huge counter combo but Almasy manages to avoid it all.
Almasy doesn't manage to clinch there - Barnard circles away.
