Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Howard Raymond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Ball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Howard Raymond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leonard Ball!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raymond misses with a head kick.
Raymond takes one on the button.
Ball connects with a body shot that sends Raymond's belly button to the back.
Raymond could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ball misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Raymond forces Ball back against the cage and clinches.
Ball is trying to break the clinch but Raymond is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Raymond prevents Ball from breaking the clinch.

Raymond gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Ball wants to stand back up but Raymond manages to pass into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Raymond misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ball managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Raymond.
Raymond working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Raymond lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ball down.
You can see the frustration on Ball's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Raymond is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ball knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Raymond tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Raymond has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ball bucks up and tries to throw Raymond off but instead Raymond has got his back!

Raymond looking to break Ball's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ball remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Raymond will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Raymond misses with punches from the back.

Raymond has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Raymond misses with an elbow to the head.
Ball covering up well and avoiding damage.

Raymond working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Raymond has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Ball showing good submission defense here.

Raymond is looking for the choke from the back position but Ball is controlling his hands well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Howard Raymond dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Ball listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Ball misses with a leg kick.
As Ball looks to move away, Raymond throws a big counter combo but Ball just gets out of the way.
Ball lands a lovely overhand right.

Raymond moves into range and clinches up with Ball.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Raymond has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ball clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Raymond has the hooks in. Ball is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Raymond is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Ball trying to control the position but Raymond manages to sink in the hooks.

Raymond controlling well, preventing Ball from escaping the position.

Raymond has got one arm under Ball's chin. This could be trouble... Ball trying to control the other hand but Raymond gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Ball has tapped out! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Howard Raymond!
