Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Siggy Duncan!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Hugh Johnson and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duncan slips a jab from Jacobi.
Duncan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Duncan with a hook.

Duncan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jacobi did well to prevent Duncan getting side control.
Jacobi is trying to maintain the position but Duncan is very close to passing his half guard.

Jacobi actively working from the bottom here.
Duncan is trying to control the action in half guard but Jacobi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Duncan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Duncan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duncan not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Duncan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jacobi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jacobi is positioning himself well to prevent Duncan advancing to mount.
Duncan lands with a punch from half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Duncan landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Duncan is thwarting Jacobi's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jacobi manages to get to full guard.
Duncan throwing strikes but missing.
Duncan postures up in Jacobi's guard and throws a big left but Jacobi blocks it.
Duncan is looking to stand up but Jacobi won't let him.
Duncan postures up and lands a big shot to Jacobi's brow.
Jacobi is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Duncan is working Jacobi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Jacobi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Duncan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jacobi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Duncan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jacobi pulls down on the head and he's put Duncan to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Johnny Jacobi!
A victorious Johnny Jacobi thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
In defeat, Siggy Duncan stepped up to the mic, saying 'I knew this was going to be a tough fight. But you gotta fight the best, to be the best. I'll be back. '.
