The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgess fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Anvil darts in and clinches Burgess up against the cage.
Anvil tries for a takedown but Burgess manages to get underhooks.
Anvil wants a takedown but no success here.
Anvil tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Burgess lands an elbow inside that Anvil shrugs off.
Burgess using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Anvil has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Burgess misses with a knee to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burgess tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Anvil.

Anvil decides to pull guard.
Anvil seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Anvil manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Burgess manages to get himself to full guard.

Anvil is working Burgess over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Anvil makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Burgess is rocked!
Anvil loads up on a big left hand. Burgess felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Anvil looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Burgess can't hide his disappointment, as Anvil celebrates the victory.
