PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jiko Bou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steve Welsh!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bou throws a leg kick which misses Welsh's front leg but catches the back leg as Welsh tries to avoid it.
Bou clobbers Welsh with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Welsh on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Bou fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Bou gets tackled into the cage by Welsh. Welsh maintains the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Bou.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bou creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Bou lands a left hand that snaps the head of Welsh backwards.
Bou gets through Welsh's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A body shot lands from Bou.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bou takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Bou gets through Welsh's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Still in the clinch, Bou scores with a nice short uppercut.
Bou lands a body shot.
Bou lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Bou has Welsh pushed against the cage.
Bou scores with a hook to the body.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Bou.

Bou is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Welsh rolls with it to try and escape but Bou cranks on the arm and Welsh is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
