Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Icarus King!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Putik lands a really nice looking cross but King seems unphased.
Putik takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
Putik looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Putik throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Putik cracks King with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Icarus King has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from King is defended easily by Putik.
Putik throwing a counter right hand but King manages to avoid it.

letting King counter with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King tries to move into range but Putik moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
King uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Putik.
King moves out of range as Putik strikes.

Putik throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Putik throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
King throws a counter combo.
King misses with a series of wild punches.
Putik lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Putik misses with a straight left.
King throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Putik was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Putik's corner calls for a 1-2. Putik obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

King is rocked!
King throws a series of punches but Putik moves out of range.
King is still on wobbly legs! Can Putik finish him?

Putik cracks King with an uppercut from hell and King crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Putik's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Putik with a flurry of punches that miss.

Putik postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
King wants to get back to his feet but Putik is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Putik postures up in King's guard and throws a big left but King blocks it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
