Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makaaja fails with a takedown attempt.
Makaaja tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rodriguez swivels and escapes.
Makaaja dives in for a single leg takedown but Rodriguez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mark Rodriguez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mica Makaaja.
Makaaja gets a double leg takedown into Rodriguez's guard.
Makaaja slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Rodriguez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Makaaja is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodriguez wants to stand but Makaaja is controlling the position.

Makaaja is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Rodriguez is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
