Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lou Dalton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dalton manages to get back to half guard.
Dalton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dalton tries to get to full guard but Jackson has control of the leg.

Jackson seems to be looking for submissions.
Dalton keeping hold of Jackson's head, controlling as best he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dalton is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dalton desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Dalton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dalton is doing well to control the position and prevent Jackson from advancing to side control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Dalton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dalton scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jackson won't allow Dalton to sweep him here.

Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Dalton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dalton has control of Jackson's left arm, preventing Jackson from doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Dalton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jackson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jackson is fighting to break Dalton's control of his arms but Dalton is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jackson wants to control from the top but Dalton keeps moving.
Dalton is pulling down on Jackson's head. It's preventing any offense from Jackson, at least for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Jackson dominated that round.
That's time! Dalton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

John Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jackson clinches with his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dalton breaks the clinch.
A combination from Dalton does no damage.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Jackson! Dalton is out on his feet! Jackson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Dalton is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Dalton is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Jackson!
