The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbarino fails to land with a series of punches.
Barbarino tries to land a front kick but Hansen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hansen tries to clinch up.
Barbarino shoots in but Hansen avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hansen gets a double leg takedown into Barbarino's guard.
Barbarino wants to get back to his feet but Hansen passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hansen thows a huge punch but Barbarino dodges it nicely.

Barbarino is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Hansen jumps into side control!

Hansen throws an elbow but Barbarino slips to the side and avoids it well.
Barbarino looks to move to half guard but instead Hansen has passed into mount! Damn!
Hansen looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Barbarino is looking to improve his position but Hansen isn't that keen on the idea.

Hansen lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Barbarino can't escape the position.
Hansen looking to control but Barbarino is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Barbarino wants to hold on but Hansen pushes him away.
Barbarino is trying to reverse the position but instead Hansen has taken his back - oops!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hansen has good solid back control here.
