Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lay Pray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pereira Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lay Pray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pereira Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz gets a takedown into half guard.
Diaz is keen to just control but Pray is a slippery customer.
Pray is looking for a sweep. Diaz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Pray regains full guard. Nicely done.
Pray wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaz looking to pass the guard.
Pray looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diaz is one step ahead there.
Pray is working hard here to advance position.
Pray definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Diaz content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Pray lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Pray postures up in Diaz's guard and throws a big left but Diaz blocks it.
Diaz has control of Pray's left arm, preventing Pray from doing any damage.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pray's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Diaz working for a triangle but Pray defends it easily.
Pray works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Diaz has hold of Pray's hands but Pray slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Diaz trying to hold on to Pray's head to control him but Pray postures up.
Diaz wants to get back to full guard.

Diaz manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Pray keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Pray jumps guard.
Pray wants to sweep but no luck.
Diaz slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Pray.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pray wants to get back to full guard.
Pray works his way to full guard. Good work.
Pray has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Diaz has passed into side control.
Diaz throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Pray works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Diaz is trying to control the action in half guard but Pray is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Pray manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Pray wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment.
Pray has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pray manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Diaz manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pray postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Pray forces his way into half guard.

Diaz wants to get back to his feet.

Pray winds up and cracks Diaz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pray takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Diaz is trying to control but can't.
Diaz tries to roll over but Pray keeps him under control.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lay Pray dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Pray closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Diaz tries to roll over but Pray keeps him under control.
Diaz trying to hold on to Pray's head to control him but Pray postures up.
Pray is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Pray working the head and body with strikes.
Pray working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Diaz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Diaz is staying active underneath Pray, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pray scores with a couple of nice shots.
Pray scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Pray passes the guard and advances to mount!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pray fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Diaz is still in real trouble! Can Pray finish him?

Pray with shots to the head and body - Diaz looks very uncomfortable down there.
Pray cracks Diaz with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lay Pray!
Lay Pray took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
