Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michel Therrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Therrien has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Ronaldo Souza has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Therrien shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Souza pinned against the cage. Souza gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Souza drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Therrien defends it well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Souza drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Souza jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Therrien swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Therrien is sitting in close to Souza's body. Souza has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Therrien is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Therrien is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Souza.
