Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phill Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denderson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brooks's guard.
Denderson landing some decent shots from guard.
Denderson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brooks works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Denderson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Denderson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Brooks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Denderson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Denderson cracks Brooks with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Denderson sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Denderson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brooks's head.
Denderson distracts Brooks with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Denderson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brooks's guard.
Denderson drops an elbow to the side of Brooks's head.
Denderson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Denderson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Brooks wants to improve his position but Denderson is controlling well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Denderson connects with a nice short shot to Brooks's temple.
Denderson wants to take a breather but Brooks is having none of it.

Brooks moves into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Denderson cracks Brooks with a solid left hand.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Denderson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Brooks looking for a sweep. Not yet Brooks, not yet.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Denderson gets to his feet and stands over Brooks, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Brooks felt that one! Denderson unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Brooks from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Han Denderson!
Han Denderson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
