Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bk Returns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bk Returns!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Returns cracks Martin with a good jab.
Returns has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Martin is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Returns blocks a head kick by Martin.
Bk Returns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Martin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A slow jab from Returns misses its intended target.

Martin moves into the clinch.
Martin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Returns is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Returns can't break the clinch.
Returns is looking to break free of the clinch but Martin has double underhooks.
Martin has Returns pressed against the cage, preventing Returns from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Martin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Returns falls off balance throwing a combination
and Martin counters with a left and a right that stings Returns.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Returns.
Martin feinted with a counter takedown.
Some bone on bone action there as Returns checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Returns moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Martin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Martin is breathing heavily.
Martin finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Martin as Returns shoots in.

Martin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Returns did well to prevent Martin getting side control.
Returns is trying to stand back up but Martin is controlling him

Returns is staying active underneath Martin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Returns closes this distance looking for a takedown but Martin circles away.

Returns missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Returns has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Returns wanted to stand there but Martin had control of the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Martin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Returns.
Returns is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Martin.
Martin shoots for a double leg takedown but Returns sprawls well. He's pushed Martin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Returns moves into the clinch.

Returns breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Returns lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Martin backs up against the cage.
Returns fails in his attempt to clinch.
Returns throws a nice looking combination but Martin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Returns tries to clinch there but Martin circles away.

Martin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Returns manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Returns is looking to stand up but Martin isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrew Martin will probably get the nod.
That's time! Martin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Returns goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Martin swats away the attempt to clinch by Returns.
Martin fires out a quick counter leg kick but Returns just manages to avoid it.
Returns fails with a takedown attempt.
Returns will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Returns throws a jab but it's blocked by Martin.
Returns takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Returns swinging wildly here.

Martin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Returns wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Martin stands up and beckons Returns to his feet.
Returns throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martin's waist but Martin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Returns off to one side.
Returns takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Martin slips a jab and a cross from Returns.
Martin throws a big counter combination but Returns scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Returns lands a jab to the head.
Returns uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Returns shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Martin defends it nicely.
