Franklin has chosen Hotel Califonia as his entrance music. Jack Franklin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilshere tries to clinch but Franklin is having none of it.
Wilshere misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wilshere throws a series of punches but Franklin moves out of range.
Franklin checks a low kick from Wilshere.
Franklin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wilshere.
Franklin dodges the punch combination from Wilshere.
Wilshere motions for Franklin to come forward. Wilshere throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Franklin misses with a takedown attempt - Wilshere sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wilshere misses with a straight left.
Wilshere looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wilshere pivots, looking for a leg kick but Franklin is out of range and Wilshere settles back down.
Wilshere throws a jab but it's blocked by Franklin.
Franklin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wilshere is fending him off so far but Franklin persists. Nope, Wilshere circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franklin wants to clinch.
A jab from Wilshere misses.
Franklin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jack Wilshere has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Franklin.
Franklin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wilshere as he jumps to the side.

Wilshere throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wilshere throws a leg kick but Franklin sees it coming and moves out of range.
Wilshere is looking to score with low kicks.
Franklin moves away from the strike by Wilshere.
Franklin scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Jack Wilshere has been cut.

Franklin closes the distance and clinches.

Wilshere breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wilshere swats away the attempt to clinch by Franklin.
Franklin avoids the body shot from Wilshere.

Franklin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wilshere prevents it.

Wilshere works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Wilshere wants to slow Franklin down by chopping away at his legs.
Franklin avoids the head kick by Wilshere.

Franklin throws a series of punches but Wilshere moves out of range.
Wilshere keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jack Wilshere seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Franklin drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Wilshere looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Franklin!

Wilshere looking to secure an arm triangle but Franklin defends it well.
Franklin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilshere. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wilshere takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Wilshere is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Wilshere working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Franklin turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Wilshere off and cradles Franklin's limp body as Wilshere celebrates with his corner.
