The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff blocks a jab.
Smiff takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Denke connects with a right hand. Smiff shakes it off.

Karl Denke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smiff. Denke does a little dance to reset his feet.

Denke uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smiff has time to react.

Denke cracks Smiff with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Denke has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smiff to stand back up!

Smiff motions for Denke to come forward. Smiff throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Denke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smiff moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Denke drops Smiff with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Smiff! Denke dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
