Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Conor Newell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hundo Varga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Varga throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Newell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Varga, pushing him back against the cage.
Newell lands a right hand that snaps the head of Varga backwards.
Newell tries to work over Varga's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Newell tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Newell is leaning against Varga and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Newell digs a right hand into Varga's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Varga's gas tank.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Varga has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Newell lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Newell pushes Varga against the cage. Newell is working some dirty boxing. Newell pushes off with a quick right hook! Varga goes down! Varga tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Newell moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

In his post fight interview, Conor Newell started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
