Arones's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Lonely is the night. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Arones.
Singh swings for the body but Arones moves out of range.
Arones fails to land the takedown.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Singh! But no joy.
Singh takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Singh misses the jab.
Arones changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Arones shoots in but Singh avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Arones has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Arones there as he acknowledges the shot.

Arones throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Singh on the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Arones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Singh keeps working.
