Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Huell Babineaux (ranked 131 p4p, 4 weight class) and Daniel Crushman (ranked 150 p4p, 4 weight class). Babineaux comes to the cage accompanied by Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Huell Babineaux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Crushman!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babineaux throws a sloppy head kick
and Babineaux takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Huell Babineaux has been cut.

Crushman drops his shoulder and cracks Babineaux with a huge uppercut! Babineaux goes down! Can Crushman finish him?

Babineaux is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Crushman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Babineaux swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Crushman has gone for a leg lock! Babineaux slips out almost immediately though and dives into Crushman's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Crushman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Babineaux has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Crushman wants to sweep but no luck.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Babineaux wants to control but Crushman is keeping him busy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

I was talking to Babineaux's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Crushman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Crushman loads up on a big right hand but Babineaux slips the punch.
It appears Babineaux was looking to counter with a kick there.
Babineaux swats away the attempt to clinch by Crushman.
A little feinted left hand from Babineaux on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Crushman, as that shot connected.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A close second round but Daniel Crushman will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Babineaux is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crushman.

Crushman lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Crushman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Babineaux but Babineaux pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Babineaux throws the left hand but Crushman avoids the punch easily.
Babineaux scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Crushman doesn't seem bothered though.
Babineaux feints and then cracks Crushman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Crushman down.

That has opened up Daniel Crushman's cut even more.
Babineaux throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Crushman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Huell Babineaux has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Daniel Crushman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Huell Babineaux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Crushman.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Crushman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
