Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Forest Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Forest Gump!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Josh Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf tries to clinch there but Gump circles away.
Wolf throws a body shot but no joy.
Wolf has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gump is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Wolf jabs Gump to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Wolf lands with a good body shot.
Gump blocks a jab.
Gump swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wolf tries to land knees in the clinch but Gump avoids the damage to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wolf manages to break the clinch.

Wolf will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

An attempted straight right counter from Gump misses the target.

Wolf's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gump avoids the head kick by Wolf.
Gump feinted there with a counter leg kick.
No joy there for Wolf, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wolf clinches with his opponent.
Wolf lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Wolf misses with a hook from the clinch.
Wolf is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gump is defending well for now.
Gump managing to block the knees to the body from Wolf.
Wolf is pushing Gump up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Gump tries to break free but Wolf pushes him back against the cage.

Wolf tries to land knees in the clinch but Gump avoids the damage to the body.
Gump is looking for a takedown.
Gump wants to get back to striking at distance but Wolf won't allow it.
Wolf misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Wolf breaks the clinch.
Gump circles away from the clinch attempt

and Gump counters with a takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Wolf's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Gump thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wolf is trying to get back to half guard.

Gump wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wolf, who protects the arm well.

Gump is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wolf is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Wolf can't do much from the bottom here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wolf is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Josh Wolf dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Gump loads up on a big right hand but Wolf slips the punch.
Wolf misses with a body kick.

Wolf tries to clinch up but Gump circles away and keeps his distance.
Gump is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wolf.

Gump takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Gump decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wolf's guard.

Gump postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wolf is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gump, into his guard.

Wolf postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Wolf controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Gump throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wolf escapes and throws Gump's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gump defending against the ground and pound.
Gump tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gump looks to move to half guard but instead Wolf has passed into mount! Damn!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wolf content just to control the position here.
Wolf in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gump is trying desperately to improve position.
Gump slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wolf is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Gump tries to get to full guard but Wolf has control of the leg.
Wolf trying to control from half guard but Gump is working away.
Gump is pressing down on Wolf's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Wolf chips away with some ground and pound.

Gump working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wolf doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gump is tightening it up a little... Wolf has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Wolf reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Wolf taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gump!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Forest Gump!
